Privacy Policy

Your focus stays on your Mac.

Effective October 10, 2026

The short version: Holo: Pomodoro Focus Timer does not collect, store or sell any of your personal data. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics and no advertising. Everything the app knows about you is kept on your own Mac.

Who we are

Holo: Pomodoro Focus Timer (the "App") is made by Codelutions (Daniel Sanchez), referred to here as "we" or "us". This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the App on macOS.

Information we collect

None. We do not run servers that receive data from the App, and the App contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking code from us or anyone else. We cannot see who you are, how you use the App or what you focus on.

Information stored on your Mac

To work, the App saves the following only on your Mac, inside the App's own private storage:

This information never leaves your Mac through the App. If you use iCloud or Time Machine backups of your Mac, Apple's own backup features may include it as part of your Mac's data, under Apple's privacy policy.

Calendar

If you allow it, the App reads events from the Calendar app on your Mac to show your meetings next to your focus sessions. Events are read on your Mac and are never copied, uploaded or shared. You can turn this off at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars.

Slack status (optional)

If you choose to connect Slack, the App sets your Slack status and Do Not Disturb while a focus session runs and restores them afterwards. To do this it sends those status updates directly from your Mac to Slack. Your Slack access token is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac and is never sent to us. Slack's own privacy policy applies to your Slack account. If you don't connect Slack, the App never contacts it.

App Blocker (optional)

If you turn on the App Blocker, the App notices when an app you picked comes to the front during a focus session and hides it. This happens entirely on your Mac. Nothing about which apps you use is recorded or sent anywhere.

Notifications

The App shows local notifications on your Mac, for example when a session ends. They are created on your Mac and are not sent through any server of ours.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions, including the free trial, are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple Account information. The App checks whether your subscription is active using Apple's StoreKit on your Mac. Apple provides us with general, aggregated sales and subscription reports, as it does for every developer. Apple's privacy policy applies to your purchases.

Crash reports

If you have chosen in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports for the App. These help us fix bugs, contain no personal information we can link to you, and can be turned off in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't have any. We do not use your information for advertising or to track you across apps and websites.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can delete individual focus sessions and tasks in the App at any time. Deleting the App from your Mac removes everything it stored. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or erase on our side. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with data protection laws such as the GDPR, those rights still apply, and you can contact us with any question about them.

Changes to this policy

If the App's handling of information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes.
